The second novel finds Kitty the reluctant center of a rebellion, a Captive in many ways.
The third book in the trilogy will be released this fall, and I can't wait to read it. Although these are labeled as young adult novels, the story is gripping, the characters have depth and the premise is interesting.

There seems to be a really overwhelmingly common theme in YA about being chosen or forced into certain classes/groups/designations. Hell even Harry Potter did it to a certain extent. I guess it feeds into young people's feeling of having no control over their life... But is there any YA stories out there that AREN'T about rebelling against the system?
