Qi - #AtoZChallenge

If you've played Words With Friends, you've seen the word Qi. Chances are it has pissed you off more than once actually... and/or it has made you wickedly happy. I was addicted to WWF for awhile and I think Qi popped up in at least 80% of the games I played.

Yet, no one seems to know what it means.

So let's just solve that little mystery, shall we?
Qi: the circulating life energy that in Chinese philosophy is thought to be inherent in all things; in traditional Chinese medicine the balance of negative and positive forms in the body is believed to be essential for good health (via Crossword Clue Solver)
Huh? Wait a second... isn't that what that Ying/Yang symbol represents??

Sure enough, if you Google "Qi" for Images, look what pops up...

And then suddenly, and honestly quite by accident, I realize just how appropriate my second sentence above really was....
_______________

Knock Knock

Who's there?

Orange.

Orange who?

Orange you ready for today's photo challenge pic?

Perhaps a reddish orange, but orange enough for me!

  3. Until reading your blog post today, I had never heard of Qi, but my "Y" letter is Yin/Yang this year! Can't believe we are moving on to "R" already for the A to Z Challenge!

  5. So this is the infamous Q post you were working on... Nicely done! (As far as using Qi in WWF? Guilty as charged. Hey, you can't always get a U, I, and Z at the same time!)
